Professional Background

Kelly Diephuis has substantial experience representing clients in serious criminal and commercial matters in state and federal courts. Kelly’s background includes complex civil litigation with the firm of Covington & Burling LLP in Washington, D.C., as well as a federal clerkship with Judge Robert Bruce King on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Prior to joining Angeli Law Group, Kelly was engaged in a solo criminal defense practice that took her into courtrooms across the state of Oregon. Her criminal defense experience ranges from white-collar and property crimes, to controlled-substance and firearms offenses, to allegations of sexual and other types of assault. In a parallel agency practice, Kelly has defended an array of Oregon businesses and individuals facing regulatory and licensing disputes.

Kelly is a 2002 graduate of Harvard Law School, where she served as an editor on the Harvard Law Review. Prior to law school, she studied philosophy at the University of Virginia, graduated with high honors, and joined Phi Beta Kappa.
