Professional Background
Colin Hunter has successfully tried cases to both juries and judges, and he has developed, drafted, and argued winning legal theories in both state and federal civil litigation. His practice emphasizes civil cases involving breach of contract, business torts, corporate governance issues, real property disputes and civil rights.
A former intelligence officer, Mr. Hunter brings significant experience in government service to his litigation practice. He previously served as a political analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency, a law clerk with the Counterterrorism Section of the United States Department of Justice, an extern with the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California, and as Communications Director for a nationally recognized Congressional campaign in Northern California. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hunter worked as a litigation associate at Stoel Rives LLP.
Mr. Hunter graduated cum laude and with major honors from Claremont McKenna College and later earned his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.
